Interrupting the Addictive Nature of Depression
Depression generally impacts our lives in profound ways. We can find ourselves trapped in an whirlwind cycle of feeling alive & free, barely normal and extreme lows. In this session we’ll talk about the addictive nature of depression, how it is different from clinical depression, the signs of addictive depression and how mindfulness interrupts this cycle of addiction.
This session is from Worldwide Insight’s Healing & Insight series which ran in 2016. This series explored the sharp end of suffering – including addiction in its broadest sense, depression, physical and mental pain, and stress – through the lens of the Buddhist teachings.
