Service as a Path to Recovery

Apr 16, 2016 | Vimalasara Mason-John

Vimalasara talks about the mythical Bodhisattva, Avalokitesvara and the historical Bodhisattva Dr Ambedkar who dedicated his life to the uplift of his people. He said: “I have left hell”, when he converted to Buddhism. They both dedicated their lives to finding an end to the sharp edges of suffering. We can too – by living a life of recovery – by radiating peace and harmony.

This session is from Worldwide Insight’s Healing & Insight series which ran in 2016. This series explored the sharp end of suffering – including addiction in its broadest sense, depression, physical and mental pain, and stress – through the lens of the Buddhist teachings.
